2007 Highlights:
2007 Chesapeake DockDogs Banquet - We held our annual banquet at the Cracked Claw in Frederick MD, December 15, 2007. The food was great and the company was even better. We were very lucky, the weather forcast of snow and freezing rain was changed at the last minute to rain which managed to hold off until well after the banquet was finished. Door prizes of a comfy Cabela's reclining chair (won by Brett Tarun), free waves at our 2008 Events, Hot Dog Collars, toys, and treats were won. 2007 DockDogs Rankings were announced along with Chesapeake DockDogs Awards given for Biggest Jump, Most Improved, Best Human Jump, Best Dressed, and many, many more. About the Club:
We're a Regional Affiliate Club of DockDogs committed to bringing regional, quality events to our area. More Events, More FUN!! Our members include people and dogs from Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. We have many new members to the world of DockDogs and some veterans. Please check out our site and consider visiting us at a practice, meeting, or event.
Take a look at the recent events our members have competed at with lots of us getting in the finals. We've got some big jumping dogs and some beginners, but we always manage to have a ball hanging out. The dogs get a ribbon every time they complete a jump no matter how far - 5" or 25'. Join us at one of the future events we're attending or holding.
Chesapeake DockDogs supports Chase Away Cancer. Our contribution to date is $485 from our three 2007 Events: Frederick Home & Outdoor Show, Lilypons Koi & Wine Festival, and the Chesapeake DockDogs Suffolk Outdoor Expo. With the support of all the DockDog Teams jumping at our events, we hope to greatly increase this number. At any of our events, for a $1 donation, your canine athlete will be clocked flying down the dock with a speed gun. At the end of the wave, you will be presented with your "Chase Away Cancer" Speeding Ticket.
